Risk Assessment and Method Statements

Our ongoing certification to ISO 45001 and repeated attainment of the distinguished RoSPA Gold Award acknowledges our integrated approach to safety within all business operations and strategies.

GAP's robust and comprehensive Health & Safety Management System includes an extensive suite of over 100 separate Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) covering all divisions. The purpose of these is to keep all workers as safe as possible.

GAP ensures any and all accidents are investigated following a clearly defined Accident, Near Miss Reporting and Investigation procedure. We have an internal Safety, Health, Environments, Risk & Compliance (SHERC) team who are committed to ensuring the investigation is conducted thoroughly to minimise the potential for a recurrence.

Health & Safety Governance

Through effective and proactive risk management, GAP continues to demonstrate record year-on-year improvement in safety. Our accident frequency and RIDDOR rates are unrivalled throughout the industry.

Our Health, Safety and Welfare Policy aims to demonstrate clearly to our employees, customers, suppliers, regulators and the community, our commitment to continuous improvement in health, safety and the environmental performance of our products and services.

Our dedicated in-house SHERC team ensures that GAP meets and exceed the health and safety requirements of our ISO 45001 accreditation and adheres to all government health and safety legislation.

Duty of Care

GAP has a duty of care to our customers to ensure that all equipment we provide, whether it be from our own fleet or from one of our approved hire partners, meets the relevant health and safety and environmental standards.

We only work with sub-contractors who have achieved the same level of accreditation as we have in ISO 9001 in Quality Management, ISO 14001 in Environmental Management, ISO 4501 in Occupational Health and Safety Management.

When proposing to use a sub-contractor, we conduct thorough market evaluations to ensure we receive all necessary information to guarantee a reliable and high-quality company to work with.
