If you have a question or want to find out anything about GAP, we are here to help. You may find the answer to your question here and if not, please visit the 'Contact Us' section of our website and we'll get back to you ASAP.

  • You can apply for an account by visiting the 'Contact us' page and inserting your information on the form provided. Once your form has been received, someone will be in touch in due course to answer any queries and to open an account for you.

  • If you wish to close your account, you can do so by emailing creditcontrol@gap-group.co.uk, or in writing to Credit Control, Citypoint 2, 25 Tyndrum Street, Glasgow, G4 0JY. If there's something we can do to help prevent you closing your account, please contact us and we'd be happy to help.

  • We understand that much of our equipment is used on sites and in dusty conditions. GAP will only charge for cleaning where there is excessive cleaning required, for example dried concrete or where equipment has worked near sewage etc.

  • GAP Group only offers trade accounts for companies registered with a UK address. See our T&C’s for more information on hiring equipment from GAP.

  • Depending on what type of account you have, you can either off hire by calling your local depot or our central hire desk, GAP one. Alternatively, you can return the equipment to any GAP depot.

  • While you can suspend many of our products there are a few that cannot be suspended. These include: Alloy/Boss Towers, Bowsers, Bumpa Hoists, Chain Hoists (Manual & Powered), Fencing, Hoists, Ladder Hoists, Wire Rope Hoists inc. Wire Ropes, Ladders, Lever Hoists, Mounted Vacuum Slab Lifters, Powered Access, Road Plates, Road Signs, Rubbish Chutes, Safety & Security, Scaffold Hoists, Security Vaults, Site Accommodation including Welfare Units & Toilets, Skips, Traffic Lights, Tower Lights

  • All of our equipment is hired on credit. When you open an account with us we will agree the credit terms with you.

  • We expect our equipment to be returned in the same condition as we hired it. While we expect you to remain acquainted with the state of the equipment, we do not expect you to attempt any repairs or alterations yourself if equipment becomes damaged. Please get in contact with us if equipment breaks down, acquires damage, is stolen or is involved in injury to any person. Please visit section 14 of our Terms & Conditions for more information.

  • You can either return the equipment to a GAP depot or arrange for GAP to collect the equipment for the agreed transportation collection charge.

  • You can use the 'Find a Depot' page on this website where you can type in your postcode to find the closest depot to you and select the division you are looking to contact.

  • Our depot opening hours are 07:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.

  • You can view our Terms and Conditions by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on 'Terms and Conditions' in the bottom left hand corner.

  • There are various ways to contact us. You can fill in a form by clicking on 'Contact us' at the top right-hand side of this page (under the search box) or by calling our Head Office on 0141 225 4600. If you need to locate your nearest depot, please click on 'Find a Depot'.

  • Yes, if you call any of our depots out of hours you will be given an out of hours number which you can call. If you are a customer of GAP one, you will have a dedicated out of hours number which can be found in your GAP one User Guide.

  • We will not share your contact details with anyone else. We may contact you from time to time with news, company updates or offers. For more details on our policy regarding the information we collect, how we use it and our General Data Regulations, please read our Privacy Policy.

  • You can complete the Contact us form on this website and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. We always do our best to make sure you are happy with our products and services, but if you are unsatisfied for any reason, please get in touch so we can help to resolve the issue.

  • GAP one is a service that we provide to our larger customers who use more than one depot for hiring equipment. GAP one customers are given one phone number and offered a managed service to ensure that hiring from GAP is as simple as possible.

  • GAP one customers are given a dedicated phone number or email address when the account is set up. This means that GAP one customers are more easily able to manage their large accounts with us and get in touch with us quickly when they need to.
